Unvaccinated players will undergo further testing and will have more restrictions

Houston (USA), Sep 30 (EFE) .- NBA players have received the provisional Covid-19 health and safety protocols, which are not at all benevolent with those who are unvaccinated.

The information sent by the NBA to the 30 teams details that players who have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19 will be tested much more frequently and will have to comply with more restrictions than the rest.

The rules include that they may not eat with teammates or staff already vaccinated and that they must remain with masks and at least two meters away from the rest of the attendees, in any team meeting.

In addition, unvaccinated players “must remain in their residence when they are playing as locals” and will not be able to leave the hotel grounds where they are staying when they are traveling.

In both cases, there are some exceptions, such as shopping for groceries or taking the children to school.

Players not vaccinated will also not be allowed to visit “higher risk environments,” says the NBA in its new rules, such as restaurants, bars, clubs, entertainment venues or large indoor gatherings.
