Barcelona, Jul 1 (EFE) .- Barça and the Turkish pivot Sertac Sanli have reached an agreement in principle – pending the medical examination – for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2023, as announced this Thursday by the Catalan club.
Sanli, 29 years old and 2.13 m., Arrives at Palau Blaugrana from Anadolu Efes, with which he has been proclaimed champion of the Euroleague 2020-21.
In the Final Four of the competition he also offered a great performance, averaging 15.5 points and 5 rebounds in 19 minutes per game.
In the overall season, the new Barça center averaged 7.8 points in the Euroleague in 14 minutes, with 66% from two-point shots and 81.5% from free throws.
As for the Turkish League, which Efes has also won, Sanli has played 25 games in the regular phase with an average of 8.5 points (38% from 3-pointers) and 4.1 rebounds in 17 minutes. And in the qualifying rounds for the title, he has scored 9 points in 14 minutes per game, with a percentage of 75% in field goals.
Before playing in Anadolu Efes from 2018 to 2021, Sertac Sanli defended the shirt of Galatasaray (2010-2013), Gaziantep (2013-14), Muratbey Usak (2014/15), Trabzonspor (2015/16) and the Besiktas (2016-18).
Absolute international with Turkey – he is currently contesting the Pre-Olympic with his national team – the pivot arrives at Barça to replace the Ukrainian Artem Pustovyi in the Barça squad, who finished his contract at the end of this season.
