Madrid, Nov 29 (EFE) .- Walter ‘Edy’ Tavares, Real Madrid’s Cape Verdean pivot, has been nominated as the best Euroleague player (MVP) of the month of November, in which his team has achieved five victories in as many matches.
Tavares has been instrumental in those victories with 13 or more PIR in each of them and reaching 90 points in total with 35 rebounds and 9 blocks, in addition to 56 points. The 2.20 meter pivot already obtained this distinction in October 2018.
The Real Madrid player finished November with averages of 11.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and a PIR of 18.0.
So far this season, Tavares leads two statistical sections of the Euroleague and is the best blocker in the competition (1.73 on average) and the one with the greatest success in shooting 2 points (79.7%). In addition, he is second in valuation (20.3) and in total rebounds (7.1 per game).
