The Real Madrid revalidated this Sunday in the pavilion of the Fuente de San Luis his title in del EuroLeague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament and retained the unofficial crown of the best U-18 team on the European continent in overtime, after beating Barça 81-78.
A basket of Henri Veesaar with just over a second to go, it allowed the Madrid team to force extra time and leave the comeback that had starred in the game to nothing. Barça, led again by Michael Caicedo, who returned to play every minute.
In overtime, the Real Madrid regained dominance of the scoreboard thanks to the good success from the free throw line of Eli ndiaye, who was named MVP of the tournament, and a couple of shares of Sediq Garuba and of Urban klavzar they allowed him to decant the shock.
In extra time, the Catalan team, who came to see themselves as the winner after dominating the last fifteen minutes of the game, were again in tow but although they had a triple final to force a new extension, they did not hit the mark and Madrid retained their Crown.
