Lto Sticky Substance Controversy in MLB go on. Max Scherzer was the victim of reviews of the umpires after the manager of the Phillies Joe Girardi asked for it three times in the first four innings of the game.
After a second review, Scherzer was visibly frustrated when Girardi again asked that they look for substances in the player, finding nothing, the Nationals pitcher he threw his glove and cap directly at the rival manager causing it to be made of words.
Girardi said things to Scherzer and caused him to be expelled of the game. The umpires found nothing on the pitcher. Scherzer had seven strikeouts in four innings.
