Mclaren will release colors in the next Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 in honor of the historic collaboration of the British team with the oil company Gulf Oil, a sponsor since the late 1960s, under the mandate of the founder of the team Bruce McLaren. In fact, last July they resumed their agreement.

The MCL35M will recover the iconic Gulf blue-gray colourway, combined with orange which today is the main color of the team. A mix reminiscent of the colors of the McLaren F1 GTR that finished second at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1997.

In addition to the new colors on the cars, both Lando norris What Daniel Ricciardo will wear this new image in their overalls and helmets, the latter with a retro design made for the occasion, like the rest of the team and the team for this weekend.

Once again, the pilots’ helmets will then be auctioned and the proceeds will go to Mind, the mental health organization with which McLaren collaborates.

“This will be McLaren’s tribute to Gulf single-seater design. We are huge fans of bold and daring design, and the eye-catching ‘Gulf Blue’ is among the favorite liveries in motorsports, a celebrated piece of culture that transcends the world of motorsport“praised Zak Brown, executive director of the team.

For their part, both Ricciardo and Norris were happy with the new colors. “It will be the prettiest car on the grid by far. It’s incredible, “said the Englishman, while his teammate also described himself excited.” Of course I like it, it’s very cool, “he said.
