TOaron Judge dosed his own workload on Friday night.

He hit two home runs, including a grand slam, with which he gained the possibility of resting earlier than planned. Gerrit Cole struck out 12 strikeouts and New York Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers 10-0.

Injury-prone Judge was absent from New York’s starting lineup in the previous two games. The Yankees reported that the slugger was suffering from pain in his legs.

The manager Aaron Boone has declined to elaborate on the problem, but has insisted that he wants to moderate Judge’s activity when possible to avoid as many injuries. That kind of management has become the norm within the NBA.
