Bradley Beal could miss the Tokyo Olympics in isolation due to COVID-19

Bad news for Team USA and Bradley Beal. The Wizards player has had to go into the health protocols and COVID-19 isolation after discovering a possible case of the virus that affects the entire planet.

It is not known with certainty if the positive has been the player himself or a close contact of his. However, Beal has been forced to enter the protocols to avoid greater evils.

Beal had been holder and fundamental part of Gregg Popovich’s scheme in all three friendlies played by Team USA so far, but could be seen out of the Olympics if their lockdown is prolonged.

The US team still has time to replace Beal if he cannot travel to Tokyo. Keldon Johnson and Darius Garland are the main favorites to win that place on the team if the Wizards guard gets sidetracked.

Beal spoke to the press after the last US friendly, talking about the decision to join the team this summer: “It was easy for me, I always wanted to be part of the Olympic team and represent my country”.
