98-105. Against the Jazz, Lillard and McCollum give the Trail Blazers the fifth consecutive victory

Salt Laker City (USA), May 12 (EFE) .- The point guard Damian Lillard scored 30 points and guard CJ McCollum added another 26 that helped the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Utah Jazz 98-105 on the road.

Veteran Puerto Rican power forward Carmelo Anthony added 18 points as the sixth player for the Trail Blazers, while Bosnian center Jusuf Nurkic posted a double-double of 11 points and 15 rebounds, leading the inside game.

The Trail Blazers won their fifth straight game and got their ninth in their last 10 games played. Portland tied the Dallas Mavericks for fifth place in the Western Conference.

Point guard Jordan Clarkson scored 29 points to lead Utah. French center Rudy Gobert added a double-double of 15 points and 20 rebounds as the Jazz’s best players, who lost his second consecutive game.

Utah now holds a game and a half advantage over the Phoenix Suns for the best record in the NBA and the Western Conference.
