ANDhistorical l catcher, Yadier Molina reached an extension agreement with the St. Louis Cardinals to live his last and great season with him team of his loves in 2022.
According to information from The Athletic, Molina would have an agreement for one more year and $ 10 million dollars, to be able to play one more season and thus be able to say goodbye to the MLB.

For 18 seasons, Molina has been with the Cardinals, where he has had 2,119 games and with 2,080 of them behind the plate, the most for a catcher in major league history. Molina joined the team in 2004 and never left again. To lead the team to four National League pennants or two World Series titles in 2006 and 2011.
The native of Puerto Rico is a .280 hitter with 168 home runs and 983 RBIs heading into Tuesday’s game. He has 2,089 hits and 397 doubles and is a nine-time Gold Glove winner.
Among the catchers of the major leagues, Molina has achieved a series of records, being fourth in caught games (2,080) and starts as a catcher (2,014), fifth in innings caught (17,441 2/3), fourth in pickoffs (52); second in put-outs (14,446) and total chances (15,551) and tenth in percentage of steals caught (40.4%).
