Lto police are investigating an assault charge Against the Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer, and a lawyer says the woman got a protection order.
Major League Baseball he is also investigating the accusation.
“The Dodgers learned of the allegations against Trevor Bauer in the late afternoon and they immediately contacted MLB, that he will take care of this matter, “the team said in a statement during its Tuesday night game against San Francisco.
“The Dodgers take allegations very seriously of this nature, but will not comment further at this time, “said the club.
The protection order was obtained under the Domestic Violence Prevention Act and it was the result of an “assault that took place at the hands of Mr. Bauer” where the woman “suffered severe physical and emotional pain,” said attorney Marc Garelick.
Pasadena Police Spokesperson, Lt. Bill Grisafe confirmed that the department is investigating allegations of an assault involving Bauer, but did not provide additional details.
Jon Fetterolf, Bauer’s co-agent, refuted allegations that Bauer committed non-consensual violence. He said Bauer met the woman in April, and the two had “a brief sexual relationship. and totally consensual initiated “by the woman.
“Your basis for filing a protection order is non-existent, fraudulently and deliberately omits key facts, information and its own relevant communications, “said Fetterolf. “Any allegation that the couple’s encounters were not 100% agreed upon, they lack foundation, are defamatory and will be refuted to the fullest extent of the law.
