Three sparring players to play for Team USA this weekend

The preparation of the US national team for Tokio is going from strength to strength. The team trained by Gregg
Popovich has had a fantastic week of training in The
Vegas and he is already preparing the friendlies this weekend.

In view of these matches, Popovich has decided summon three players from Team Select, the equipment they are using as a sparring, to replace the three absent who are still playing in the NBA Finals.

Neither Jrue Holiday, neither Khris Middleton nor Devin Booker may still be with Team USA so Pop has decided that Keldon Johnson, Darius Garland and Saddiq Bey enter the list for these games. One of them could be the one that faces the Spanish team next week.

In addition, late on Friday the coaching staff decided that three other players would also join the ‘first team’. These are some who have already been with Team USA in the windows, such as Cam Reynolds, Josh Magette and John Jenkins. The latter has finished the season in Europe, in Bilbao Basket.
