LAfter just this Wednesday it became known that the New York Yankees seized the services of the powerful Joey Gallo, the Bronx Bombers gave another bell this Thursday by acquiring Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Cubs.
Rizzo arrives in a trade in which the Yankees will give Chicago a pair of Dominican jewels, they are right-handed pitcher Alexander Vizcaíno and outfielder Kevin Alcántara.
With these two acquisitions, Aaron Boone’s ninth will seek to close the 2021 Major League Baseball campaign with the entire 2021 campaign to seek a ticket to the Playoffs, something that seems distant but not impossible.
Rizzo is hitting .248 / .346 / .446 with 14 homers and 40 RBIs this season.
