The final ACB playoff will be the best of three

The final playoff of the Endesa League The best of three games will be played (the one who wins two will take the title) after the decision taken by the Assembly of the Club Association this Tuesday. This change in format is motivated by Barça’s classification for the Final four of the Euroleague that prevents playoff games from being played before the Cologne appointment and forces a backward match on the season schedule.

In this way, the first playoff round will begin after the Final
Four, and both this and the next two will be the best of three games. The reduction for the semifinals was already known but the novelty this time lies in the final, also reduced in format.

After starting to play the best of five games in all rounds, the ACB decided to shorten the first quarter to best of three starting in 2007. This will be the first time that all rounds have been played with this formula.
