San Salvador, Oct 2 (EFE) .- El Alianza left behind its elimination from the Concacaf League at the hands of Comunicaciones de Guatemala and reached the leadership of Salvadoran football this Saturday after defeating Municipal Limeño on the twelfth date of Apertura 2021.
The albos thrashed the cucheros, last with 66 points, 3-0 to reach 27 points, with which they reached the top of the table, also thanks to the setback of Futbolistas Asociados Santanecos (FAS).
The fastanecos, current champions, stayed in second place with 25 integers after losing by the minimum difference as a visitor to Santa Tecla, which is tenth with 12 integers.
In third place was 11 Deportivo, with 22 points, after taking a 1-2 victory on the road against Águila, the second most successful team in Salvadoran football and occupying the sixth place with 17 units.
The Jocoro added 19 integers in fourth place after defeating the pamperos of Luis Ángel Firpo, who remained seventh with 16 points.
Platense, the youngest of the Salvadoran major league, added three points by defeating the hard-core from the north of Chalatenango 2-1. These teams stayed in fifth and ninth place with 19 and 12 points, respectively.
Atlético Marte added 14 units in eighth place by defeating Isidro Metapán’s jaguars 2-0, which is eleventh with 6 points.
Colombians Duvier Riascos Alianza) and Luis Peralta (FAS) are the top scorers in Salvadoran football with 8 goals in 12 games and are chased by Jomal Williams (Firpo), from Trinidad and Tobago.
After the regular phase, in which all teams face each other, the first 8 teams will qualify for the next phase and will be eliminated until reaching the final.
