ANDl game between White Sox and Kansas City lived a dramatic moment when Hunter Dozier and José Abreu had a horrifying crash that left them on the grass for several minutes, to then leave the encounter with suspected concussion.
Dozier was in turn at bat in the top of the second inning when he responded with a fly to first. Abreu tried to catch the ball without noticing that he was coming on the way Dozier crashing head-on and seriously injured.
After several minutes in which they were attended, both players exited the game. The first reports say that Abreu has a contusion and facial laceration, as well as a knee injury, while Dozier suffered a quadruple contusion and neck discomfort.
Dozier’s ball was caught for one out. He was replaced at third base when the bottom of second began.
