The Athletic Club player Iñigo Lekue has been positive for Covid-19 in the last tests to which the rojiblanca squad has been subjected and will be low for the match that will face the rojiblanco team with Osasuna next Saturday in San Mamés (9:00 p.m.).
The Bilbao club announced that Lekue is “in good health and complying with the sanitary isolation protocol at home” and also that “the rest of the antigen test results have been negative.”

Lekue’s is the second case related to Covid-19 that affects the rojiblanca squad today since Dani García was dropped at the last minute in last Monday’s meeting at Sánchez Pizjuán for being “close contact of a positive relative” for coronavirus.
With Lekue Fourteen members of Bilbao’s first staff have been affected by cases of Covid-19 Since the defender, like Dani García himself, already had to spend a few days isolated at his home as a close contact with Jokin Ezkieta, who tested positive in November.
The first were Iñaki Williams, Unai Núñez, Oihan Sancet, Iñigo Córdoba, Unai López and Gaizka Larrazabal -this later signed by Zaragoza-, who gave positive in the tests they were subjected to before starting the preseason in August.
Later, Yuri Berchiche and the goalkeeping coach, Aitor Iru, were also infected in October; Óscar de Marcos and Ezkieta, in November; Íñigo Vicente in January; Peru Nolaskoain in March; and now Lekue.
