New York, Aug 17 (EFE) .- The NBA has already established the provisional competition calendar for the 2021-22 season and the now traditional day of “Christmas Day” this year will feature the stellar duel between the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers, teams that are projected as favorites to also be in the Finals.
At least, that’s what the Las Vegas bets projected, last July, after the Milwaukee Bucks proclaimed themselves new NBA champions by beating the Phoenix Suns in the Finals.
The Nets will perform in full with their “Big 3” formed by forward Kevin Durant, the great hero of the United States national team, in Tokyo 2020, where they won the fourth consecutive gold medal, guard James Harden and point guard Kyrie Irving.
While the Lakers in the presence of forward LeBron James and center Anthony Davis also got point guard Russell Westbrook this summer to establish the new “Big 3” in the Western Conference.
In addition to the great duel between the two teams with six superstars in their ranks, three for each of them, the Atlanta Hawks will travel again to Madison Square Garden, where they will face the New York Knicks.
The game between Hawks and Knicks will not have the same number of stars that will be given in the Nets against Lakers, but it will have the incentive of being the rematch of the duel that both teams had in the first round of the past playoffs.
The Hawks, with star point guard Trae Young, hero and villain, gave the surprise by eliminating, in five games, the Knicks, who had the advantage of the field.
Another interesting duel that will take place on Christmas Day will take place in Salt Lake City, where the local team of the Utah Jazz will host the Dallas Mavericks, with the Slovenian guard-guard Luka Doncic as the great individual star who will face the guard.
