The 2021 season of MotoGP is being a real nightmare for Marc Márquez and for Honda. The Catalan rider could not finish the appointment in Montmeló, since he suffered a new fall and they three consecutive Grand Prix that hits his bones on the ground. This Sunday he only did 7 laps.

The poleman Fabio Quartararo gave the first position in the first bars of the race, surpassed by Jack Miller and a Miguel Oliveira who commanded the first part of the test. The champion Joan Mir he settled in the podium area, while from behind he went to the ground Pol Espargaro and his partner Márquez climbed to sixth place … until he fell.

The eighth champion crashed into the revamped Turn 10 when he was only on lap 7. The crisis at Honda is terrible, given that this was the third consecutive fall for a Márquez who still does not feel comfortable. Physically it begins to generate doubts, but above all it is a problem for the team, since the performance of the RC213V it is leaving much to be desired.

The fundamental problem is unpredictable behavior of the motorcycle. Both Espargaró and Márquez feel powerless when it comes to predicting how their mount will act, both when braking (the crash was due to that factor) and when exiting the corner.

To this are added the physical doubts of Márquez himself, who is still recovering from the serious injury that left him in 2020.

Quartararo, bare-chested

The victory went to Miguel Oliveira (fourth winner in seven races), followed by Johann zarco and of Jack Miller, although thanks to the sanction he suffered Fabio Quartararo.

The Frenchman finished the race with the open suit, although the punishment was due to the fact that he had shortened the first corners of the circuit while fighting to stay in the upper zone.
