Lakers and Dodgers owner Todd Boehly could buy Chelsea

Todd Boehly would partner with Hansjorg Wyss to buy Chelsea.

Roman Abramovich announced that he will sell to Chelsea. Since 2018, the Russian tycoon explored the sale of the team, after the British government canceled his visa as a result of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which worsened in that period and culminated in the Russian invasion.

The American bank, the Raine Groupwas exploring for four years the sale of the Bluesand would continue looking for a buyer, with the owner of Dodgers and Lakers as one of the main candidates.

Todd Boehley, the founder, president and majority owner of Eldridge Industries, would be partnering with the Swiss businessman Hansjorg Wyss to buy Chelsea.

Wyss, hours before Abramovich announced the sale of Chelsea, declared that they contacted him to consider buying the London team. “Abramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly. Three other people and I received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.”he declared.

Boehly owns 20% of the Dodgers and 27% of the Lakers. Already in 2018 he had been contacted to buy Chelsea, offering 2,200 million pounds for the club, but it was not enough.
