The Italian Moto3 Grand Prix has been overshadowed by the tragedy, after this Sunday the death of the rider was confirmed Jason dupasquier. The 19-year-old Swiss suffered a serious accident in qualifying on Saturday and after undergoing emergency surgery at a nearby hospital, his body could not overcome the injuries sustained.

At turn 9 of the Mugello circuit he lost control of his motorcycle and ended up falling to the I usually, where the Japanese Sasaki could not help but ramming him making him lose consciousness. Both the Japanese and Jeremy Alcoba, also involved in the accident, were able to leave the track on their own feet, unlike the Swiss.

The 19-year-old young pilot was transferred to Florence Hospital to be operated on for cerebral edema that caused the accident, passing away shortly after.

Dupasquier made his Moto3 debut last season with CarXpert Prüstel GP and his KTM. This year, in the five races he played, he made a leap in quality compared to his first season, having achieved points in all his races.
