Calathes and his commitment to the Euroleague: “I will leave an afro but only on the sides”

The Greek-American base of Barça, Nick calathes, he jokingly shared his crazy bet in the face of the Euroleague Final Four that the Blaugrana team plays this coming weekend in Cologne, Germany. In an interview with Eurohoops.net, the 32-year-old explained a crazy thing he could do to celebrate the title is to grow an Afro hairstyle in his own way.

“I will leave an afro but only on the sides”, shared the veteran base of the group directed by Sarunas Jasikevicius. “That would be different for sure.”

On his rival in the semifinals, Olimpia in Milan, Barça’s ’99’ shared that foresees a “very difficult match”
against a “good team with many experienced players”.

The point guard named several of the talents of the group led by Ettore Messina, which has a string of imposing names: Malcolm Delaney, Sergio Rodríguez, Kevin Punter, Shavon Shields and a long etcetera that will make things difficult for the Blaugrana.

Calathes has a Euroleague in his record, a title he achieved in 2011 managing Panathinaikos during his first spell in Greece between 2009 and 2012. A decade later, and after playing for Lokomotiv Kuban, the Memphis Grizzlies and returning to the illustrious Greek team, the experienced point guard aspires to return to lift the highest European title.
