After a few minutes of disconnection, Mondelo’s men were rebuilt on the Parisian court and, with Torrens acting as the absolute leader of the team, they reduced the distance to two points at the end of the first period.

In the second quarter, the Spanish defense made waters. The agile circulation of the French and their transitions destabilized the Spanish defensive balance and the income stretched to 11 points (51-40).

The physical potential of the galas was evident in the rebounds and, on the paint, Fauthoux (14) and Gruda (10), became giants against a Spain that left many spaces.

After passing through the changing rooms, Spain showed a more recognizable image. They contained the French bloodletting and the connection between Torrens, Queralt Casas (6) and MarĂa Conde (9), raised the Spanish scoring figure to win the first set of the match in the third quarter (18-17).

In the final act, the Spanish insistence was very close to turning the result around.
