The representation of Spain in the men’s team at Roland Garros increased this Friday with the classification of Mario Vilella, who came back to beat German Peter Gojowczyk in the third round of the preview: 4-6, 6-3 and 6-2 in 1h: 37. There will be 15 Navy tennis players who will debut in the first round between Sunday and Monday: the 11 who had a guaranteed place (Nadal, Bautista, Carreño, Ramos, Davidovich, Feliciano López, Andújar, Verdasco, Munar, Carballés and Pedro Martínez) plus the four classified (Taberner, Zapata, Vilella and Alcaraz).
Vilella will compete for the first time in the French major, since last year he was left out when he lost the qualy against the Colombian Daniel Elahi Galán, which was one of the surprises of the tournament.
