The soap opera between Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers is far from over. The player already knows his new coach, the former player and NBA MVP in 2004 Chauncey billups. It does not seem that he liked the choice too much, since he had bet on another candidate, a Jason Kidd that the Dallas Mavericks have taken scored by Luka Doncic.
The huge controversy generated by the Billups selection process has come to Lillard in the form of fury on social media. He was also unaware of the rape accusations against his new technician, allegations from 1997 that the franchise has dismissed as sufficient grounds to veto the hiring of Billups.
Beyond the name of your new coach, Lillard remains concerned about the next steps the franchise must take. You want a competitive team that can reach the final rounds of the playoffs and dispute the ring, something that at the moment is quite far.
