Tenerife has confirmed this Friday through a statement the signing of the Balearic exterior Joan Tailor, who has signed a two-season contract with the option of renewing one more season.
Tailor, 29 years old and 2.01 meters tall, arrives at the aurinegro team from the Valencia Basket where he has spent the last five years of his career and where he already coincided with coach Txus Vidorreta on 17/18.
The new player of the island team has been international with the Spanish team in all categories and accumulates extensive experience both in League
Endesa as in European competitions.
He began his relationship with basketball in the city of Inca (Majorca) and from there he went to Basketball Majorca and entered the Technification Center of the Islands
Balearics (08/09).
In 2009 he made the leap to Cajasol, where he stayed for five seasons until 2014, at which point the guard signed for CAI Zaragoza (14/16).
Since 2016 it has remained in the Valencia
Basket, where he has achieved the title of champion of the ACB, the Endesa Super Cup and the Eurocup, a record that is completed by two runners-up in the second European competition, with Cajasol and Valencia.
Added to this are the titles won with the Spanish team, with a bronze in the European sub-29 of Croatia (2010) and gold in Bilbao (2011) and a bronze with the absolute in the Eurobasket of 2017.
This season 20/21, Sastre has averaged 6.4 points, with a 44.4% accuracy in triples, 1.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 28 games played.
