John Means was monumental on the mound Wednesday in the game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Seattle Mariners, where he pitched the game without a hit or run to sign the triumph of his team 6-0.
Means faced the minimum number of batters, 27, however, a wild pitch in the third inning took away his chance to win the perfect game, something that only 23 players have achieved in the history of Las Mayores.
Throughout the nine innings, John struck out 12 opponents, so he is now 4-0 with a 1.37 ERA. so far in the 2021 MLB season.
This is the 10th no hitter in Orioles history, however it is the first since 1991. so the ’47’ breaks that long drought for the Baltimore franchise.
