Joachim Löw refused to coach Barça

It is a fact that Joan Laporta did not want Ronald Koeman as a culé coach heading into the 21/22 season. The terrible economic situation and the rejection of his first options made him end up respecting the contract of the Dutch coach. At the time there was talk of a series of technicians, but now we have to add one more to the list: Joachim Löw.

The German coach, who will leave the ‘mannschaft’ after the imminent Eurocup, received a call from the Barça club in March after learning that he would leave the national team once Germany’s participation in the continental tournament ended. So he assures it ‘Bild‘, which also states that the talks did not go further because Löw communicated that he has no intention of training any team next season.

The contacts never led to a conversation of the Catalan club directly with Löw, since he conveyed to his representatives that he was not interested in the proposal, as interesting as it might be. At 61, and after more than 15 at the head of the German national team, Löw steps aside after the European Championship to take a sabbatical year. Afterwards, your next challenge is still unknown.
