White will now have to rest and will be evaluated in about four months, so the team hopes to get him back at the earliest shortly before the start of the 2021-2022 season next October.
The 21-year-old he averaged 15.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 69 games in his second season in the NBA, with 41.8% shooting from the field and 35.9% from the perimeter. White was chosen by the Bulls in the seventh position of the 2019 Draft.
