The Catalan coach Pep Clarós will lead the Angola team in the Pre-olympic and the Afrobasket, main appointments of this summer. It is the fourth national team to lead in his career and Africa a new continent that adds to his extensive world curriculum.
Clarós, a 52-year-old native of Tiana, has already directed the national teams of The
savior, Mexico Y Egypt in earlier stages. He has been present in 16 finals of different league and cup championships in 12 different countries and has won ten gold medals in international championships. The last experiences have been in the Japanese league and Bahrain.
Angola will compete in the qualifying group of Kaunas, and in his group he will compete with Poland Y Slovenia. The latest achievements of Angola, a classic of the continent in international championships, are silver in the Afrobasket of 2015 and gold in the Pan-Africans of that same year.
