The Italian forward Simone
Fontecchio has reached an agreement with Saski Baskonia for the next three seasons. as the Vitorian club has advanced this Friday. Fontecchio, from Alba Berlin with which he has been proclaimed champion of the German league, is an absolute international and is part of the list of 12 players who will represent Italy at the Tokyo Olympics. He is 25 years old and measures 2.03.
Fontecchio has been one of the most outstanding players of the dawn with which he played 29 games in the Euroleague last season and has averaged 10.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and a PIR of 10.1 in 23:25 on average. In the German competition, in which he has won the champion’s cup, he has completed a remarkable campaign with 11.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 12.8 PIR credits per game.
In the 2019-20 season the new Barça forward played in the Reggio
Emilia of Serie A of the Italian league before making the leap to Sunrise of Berlin. Previously, in his early years as a professional player, he played in the Virtus from Bologna between the 2012 and 2016 seasons before joining the AX Armani
Milan between the years 2016 and 2019.
