Lyou Dodgers had to face the duel against the Brewers without Clayton Kershaw, who had to abandon his opening with a sore arm after the second inning.

It was in the second inning with two outs on the count, that Kershaw was unable to continue and due to a discomfort in the left forearm after making 42 throws. It was the same injury that kept him out for much of the season.

Kershaw had his fourth start after missing more than two months due to inflammation in the left elbow. He allowed the same number of hits and outs (five) and was charged with three earned runs.

Left-hander’s 2021 regular season ends with a 3.55 ERA in 121 innings.
