Sports writing (USA), May 1 (EFE) .- The return of All-Star forward LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers could not be more frustrating after missing 20 games due to injury and seeing how they could not beat the Los Angeles Lakers. Sacramento Kings at their Staples Center field, where they lost 106-110.
Again, the Lakers played inconsistent basketball and stayed in the game thanks to individual contributions.
After six weeks out of competition, due to a sprained ankle in his right foot, James had a chance to have given the team victory, but his triple, with 2.7 seconds remaining, missed.
The Kings made two free throws and secured the victory, while the Lakers lost the second consecutive game and the fifth in the last six disputed.
Their 36-27 mark keeps them in fifth place in the Western Conference, but halfway through the Dallas Mavericks (35-27), who had a bye.
The failure of the triple left James without the award for good individual work after contributing 16 points. He also made 6 of 12 shots from the field, captured eight rebounds and distributed seven assists.
While center Andre Drummond had 17 points, he grabbed seven rebounds and put up three blocks.
Another somewhat man, the Spanish center Marc Gasol, who played eight minutes, was perfect with five points after scoring the two field goals he made, including a triple; he didn’t go to the personnel line and grabbed three rebounds.
The Kings had double satisfaction, first from the win, and then from seeing rookie point guard Tyrese Haliburton finish as the team leader with a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists.
Center Richaun Holmes also remained solid in the inside game and with 22 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a block, he helped the Kings to victory.
